The paintings of Mais are mostly figurative / surrealistic with straight lines. So far she painted only with oil on canvas / linen but she started in 2010 in some works with a combination of oil / acrylic. The colours which arise from her mind at the moment of painting can be totally different.
The mixture in her style can not be placed under one special genre and her artworks are very individual. Her works are a reflection of her feelings and intuition.
Mais is a self-taught artist and started with painting by later age just out of nowhere.
Mais aspires to find the balance between the picture and colours on the canvas until she has the feeling “this work is complete”. Meanwhile painting, her mind is already working at the next artwork which is a new challenge for her.
She received within limited of time several international invitations to take part in exhibitions.
